Dr. Richard Beyerlein graduated from the Oregon Health Sciences University in 1985 with awards for excellence in research and for the outstanding study of medicine. In 1989, after completing his residency at the University of California, Irvine, where he also received awards for excellence in teaching and research, he moved back to his home state, Oregon. In 1996 he founded Pacific Women’s Center.
Working with Dr. Beyerlein over the past 14 years is Toni Myers, RN IBCLC. On every aspect of women’s health, they continually strive to provide excellence and innovations in obstetrics, gynecology and infertility. Whether it is in the development of childbirth classes, breast feeding classes or opportunities to participate in state of the art trials, their goals are to provide the highest quality of medical care.
Dr. Beyerlein is happily married, now for over 24 years, and is grateful to have raised 3 wonderful children (along with 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a horse) since his arrival in Eugene.
It has always been my passion to be better than I am — as a person, as a physician and as an activist in the cause of good medicine. I also believe in being a strong participant in this life. Together, these are some of the reasons I became a physician. They are also governing principles. As individuals, we are motivated to continuously improve, to always put patients above all else and to contribute to medicine with the strongest sense of ethics and integrity. Ultimately, my practice — and reputation for excellence — is the result of my passion.
Little Known Fact: Dr. Beyerlein served as an invited medical ambassador to China and Mongolia for the Dwight D. Eisenhower foundation.
